The society, which had provided Rs 1.2 million worth of health items a few days ago, on Friday alone provided Rs 1.1 million worth of oxygen concentrators for the parbat district.
General Secretary Gunaraj Sharma Poudel informed that the society has been able to manage the materials in collaboration with the parbat who are in foreign employment. The Parbat Samaj had convened a meeting under the convenership of Hitkaji Gurung and formed a committee with necessary decisions. After the meeting formed a financial collection committee under the convenership of Subash Joshi (Santosh), the general secretary Sharma said that the committee was successful in raising funds. Chief Patron of the society, Hitkaji Gurung, said that the people who came for foreign employment from the mountains have helped the district in the epidemic by collecting the price of their sweat. A meeting convened by Kul Acharya, Subash Joshi (Santosh), Puran Giri and Guna Raj Sharma (Poudel) under the convenership of the society's chief patron Hitkaji Gurung had decided to provide health care to seven municipalities in the parbat district. A committee comprising of Coordinator Joshi, Jhalak KC Belgium, Parashuram Poudel UAE, Deepika Bhushal Israel, Ishwar Joshi-Japan, Govind Poudel USA, Baburam Sharma USA and members of the International parbat Society and chairpersons of the organization was formed. The purchase of Oxygen Concentrator Machine in China was coordinated by Mahesh Shrestha, Patron of the International Mountain Society and facilitated by Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, Chairman of the National Assembly. Arriving at the parbat with the materials, National Assembly Speaker Timilsina praised the love of the migrants for their homeland at a program organized in the parbat on Friday and said that the migrants should stand in one place when their homeland suffers. He appreciated the generosity shown by the international parbat community towards the motherland and said that the love of the soil cannot be forgotten wherever it goes. At the handover ceremony, the patron of the organization Govinda Subedi clarified that the mountaineers living in the mountains are always united in their grief. Chief of Kushma Municipality Ram Chandra Joshi, Chief District Officer Devi Pandey Khatri and others were present in the program.
